Paul on Parenting

“Love does its best work, grace is its richest when the person isn’t deserving. Instead of love getting weak and saying its not worth it, that’s when love rises. Because the only thing that can break that down and build that bridge is love. What happens when a parent waits to be loving for the teenager to get his act together. You just get this horrible stand off. Rather than I’m going to keep moving towards you because I’m doing this because of my trust in Christ and my desire to be an instrument in His hands even though it’s not being reciprocated.”
